Apex Tactical's 1911 Barrel Fitting Jig securely retains any 1911 pistol barrel in the proper position for filing both length and width of the hood to ensure a precise fit to the slide. Apex's fixture is so versatile it will even work on bull barrels - no bullsh… uh, baloney!
The solid base of the 1911 Barrel Fitting Jig is machined from billet aluminum, then anodized in Apex Tactical Red for excellent corrosion and wear-resistance. A hardened steel screw goes through the barrel's link pin holes to retain it in a cutout on the base. Another slot provides plenty of clearance to access the hood with the proper file. (File not included, but we offer plenty of gunsmithing files separately.) Also included: a nylon strap to cinch the barrel down while you work.
